Rwanda AI Journalist Challenge — GIZ/MINICT/UNESCO-organised four-day workshop (Feb 2024) training 14 journalists on AI foundations, ethics and newsroom application using UNESCO's Handbook on Reporting on Artificial Intelligence; followed by competition in which 12 journalists submitted AI-assisted stories. The New Times journalists took top two prizes.
