'Bhumika can speak for herself'

An AI-powered interactive interview letting viewers ask a Nepali transgender rights activist questions out loud or in writing and get answers in real time, auto-assembled from an at-length video interview. Voice recognition plus natural-language processing match each question to the relevant clip, cut video on the fly, and surface journalistic context cards that add information and fact-check the subject's statements. Built for Asia Weekly's Red-Letter Project, an online-storytelling experimentation initiative; framed by reporter Marc Lajoie as a way to step back and put the subject centre stage rather than filter her story through an outside framing.
