Beyond its virtual-anchor pilot, VTV has used AI in production workflows for several years

Content-review/censorship systems, multilingual subtitling and voice-over (per Deputy Director General Dinh Dac Vinh). In July 2026 VTV's Youth Union and R&D Centre launched the workshop series 'Applications of AI: From Idea to Television Product' with experts from China's Guangxi Radio and Television, followed by four themed workshops (AI reconstruction of disaster scenes, hard-to-access locations, children's/educational content, documentaries) to push AI into every production stage.
